We are a happy and friendly school which aims to provide a high quality education for your child, helping them to develop an excitement and enthusiasm for life-long learning.

In July 2011 the school was inspected by Ofsted and given an Outstanding rating. The numerous strengths identified by the inspectors clearly reflect the tremendous hard work of our wonderful team of children, parents and the entire staff and governors of Downview.

We provide a stimulating, rich and varied curriculum which gives all our children the opportunity to learn from a wide range of experiences, including visits out of school and bringing visitors and specialists in to school. We also provide a range of extra-curricular activities which take place either at lunchtime or at the end of the school day.

We believe that it is vital for parents and school to work in partnership. Through close collaboration, we aim to help your child succeed as a learner and make the best possible, consistent progress in an environment that is engaging, safe, happy and a place children want to be.
